Hollow Lantern

Hollow Lantern is a quieter kind of mobile game. You explore an abandoned coastal town by lantern light, solving gentle environmental puzzles and slowly piecing together what happened there. It leans on mood, and the sound design does a lot of heavy lifting through headphones.

The puzzles never got so hard that we reached for a guide, which suited the pacing. It's about discovery, not being stumped. Movement is a simple tap-to-go system that works fine on touch.

It's short — we finished in a few evenings — but it stuck with us longer than plenty of bigger games. Play it slowly, in the dark, with sound on.
