About

RiverBox Play started as a group chat where a few of us kept swapping screenshots of whatever mobile game had eaten our evening. At some point the recommendations got serious enough that we figured we should write them down properly. So here we are: a small independent editorial team, not a big media company, playing games and typing about them.,We cover every genre we can get our thumbs on — puzzles, RPGs, strategy, arcade, racing, the lot. Nobody here only likes one thing, and we think that mix makes the reviews more useful. A good hook is a good hook whether it's a card battler or a physics puzzle.,How we pick games is simple. Something catches our eye in a store chart, a friend won't shut up about it, or a developer emails us. Then someone on the team actually installs it and lives with it for a while before writing a single word. We don't score a game after twenty minutes.,Everything you read here is our own opinion, formed by playing. If we didn't enjoy something we say so, and if we changed our mind after an update we go back and note that too.
